What the Heck is that?
That, my friends, is the interior of the Kangaroostaurant, brought to you via the magic of digital media from New Braunfels, TX. Construction is under way and as you can see; we now have a floor, walls, and the better part of a ceiling. Kitchens on Wheels is doing the entire kitchen install, from diamond plate flooring to the exterior graphics wrap.
Wrap it Up
Speaking of the wrap, here’s an idea of what you can expect to see in your rearview mirror when we cruise down the Avenue.
We have no idea how we’ll see out the windows with all that wrap over them, but we’ll worry about that once we scream out of New Braunfels.
The Window is on the Right Side
When we went before the Appleton Municipal Services Committee earlier this year, one of the representatives looked at our plans and said “Well you’ve got the window on the right side. The last people who wanted to do this had the window on the driver’s side and wanted permission to drive down College Avenue backwards.” To tell the truth, we hadn’t ever looked at the placement of the window until that moment.
Would have been a drag to drive all the way from Texas and find out our serving window would face the street.
Street of Dreams
It may only look like a FedEx truck with a hole in the side, but for us it’s the culmination of a lot of work, time, and commitment. This is our dream; to serve great food to great people who care about local providers and want something unique and delicious. On a more personal level it’s our chance to work together, have a job that we are eager to do, and most of all; be able to laugh while we do it. With most jobs, that can be difficult, but as we make this our life, we are hoping for more and more smiles for you and us.
That being said, we need that truck finished ASAP. Hey guys in Texas: get back to work!
